Keith has been the Technical Director of the region for the last 15 years, and under his watch, there have seldom been problems, and what little problems occurred he has fixed very quickly. He has been one of the core developer of DOMJudge, which was a boon for the region before merging with the other regions to form the Big South.

Keith developed the environment used in SEUSA, and that has made the region run very smoothly. By delivering Keith’s environment on thumb drives, SEUSA is able to ensure that all teams are competing in the same environment, and the same firewall rules are in place. The environment is very easy to set up, configure, and reset between practice and contest. Brilliantly, Keith has designed the environment with the ability for him, and only him, to access each competitor’s environment remotely, and make any fixes necessary. Keith’s environment is now being used across the Big South, and is a very big reason why the Big South contests have run so smoothly. Keith’s environment is now being chosen as the core of the environment used at World Finals.

Each of the past few years, SEUSA has added a new site, and Keith has travelled to that site to help their setup procedure, and to make sure they know the processes so that they can be successful in future contests. Keith has always given greatly to the ICPC. He is very easy to work with, very knowledgeable, and very responsive, usually answering question emails almost immediately. SEUSA has had many years of successful contests with few, if any, technical problems, and Keith is an extremely important part of that record of success. He is an asset to the ICPC, also volunteering at the NAC and WF, and SEUSA is lucky to have him in the region.
